Located on the island of Montreal itself, the Ecomuseum is a private, non-profit, 11.3 hectare educational wildlife park - operated by the St. Lawrence Valley
Natural History Society - where you can observe and study indigenous
fauna and flora in their natural habitats.
Because
its mission is to educate as well as to protect, the Society takes
special care in providing visitors with the right facilities. Among
them, an educational building that houses many species of small fish,
amphibians, turtles, and an indoor songbird aviary.
Our opening hours are very convenient. We are open every day of the
year, except on Christmas day! We also offer guided tours, birthday
parties, and special sleepover nights.

Whether
you choose to come alone or as a family, you can observe and mingle with
our wildlife, consistent with the welfare of our animals and your
personal safety. You'll be able to walk through our aviary, share space
with our birds, and admire our raptors uninhibited by restrictive
netting. Observe our snakes and turtles at your leisure from the ramps
and platforms we provide for that purpose.
Whatever your preference, you can set your own pace and see everything in as little as an hour.
