Come test your knowledge on the animals of Quebec by taking the Spring Break Quiz and get a chance to win a wonderful gift! The entire family will enjoy finding the answers along the pathways while observing our animals’ beautiful winter coats and enjoying the winter scenery.
From March 3rd to 11th, at 1:30 p.m.
Discover how animals play, as we will bring a special enrichment toy to a different animal species each day! Do they play as much as kids do during Spring Break?
On March 3rd and 4th, between 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.
Participate in the Animal Olympics!
Test your physical skills and take on intellectual challenges comparing yourself to some of our animals! Will you jump as far as a lynx? Will you be able to identify smells as well as wolves can? Other challenges await as you get the chance to win a beautiful prize. Laughs and amazing experiences are guaranteed!
From March 5th to 9th
Keep your eyes open as turtles and snakes will be presented at different moments during the day and you may even touch them if you wish! One of our magnificent birds of prey will also be presented during the day.
On March 6th, 8th, 10th and 11th, at 11:30 a.m., 2:15 p.m. and 3:15 p.m.
Join our zoologist in the amphitheatre to spend unforgettable moments while attending an intimate presentation of some of our incredible birds of prey, including a great horned owl and a barn owl.
On March 10th and 11th, at 12:30 p.m.
Take a close look at our two stunning wolves, Farley and Fiona, as they become the stars during a dynamic presentation by our zoologist! You will learn fun and amazing facts about their behaviours and life style.
All the activities above are included within the regular admission prices.
On March 4th, from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Sweet tooth anyone? … We invite you to join us as the Marc Besner Sugar Shack will be on hand to offer you Maple Taffy at a cost of only 1$ per stick. In case of rain, this activity will be postponed until the following day.
SPRING BREAK – ANIMAL CARE APPRENTICE
For animal lovers between 7 and 12 years of age!
For the 2012 spring break period, the Ecomuseum zoo education team has prepared for you an unforgettable week of Animal Care Apprentice activities. Don’t miss your chance to become an animal care apprentice for 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 days.
From March 5th to 9th 2012 you could be the zoologist’s assistant, feed the animals and benefit from up-close encounters with some of our furry, scaly or feathery friends. Most of all, you will make fascinating and surprising discoveries and learn many fun and amazing facts.
Each day will have different activities
- Monday, March 5th: Our famous animals
- Tuesday, March 6th: Secrets of the predators
- Wednesday, March 7th: Shhh! The forest revealed
- Thursday, March 8th: From dinosaurs to today’s creatures
- Friday, March 9th: Kings of the sky
