In addition to the delightful animal encounters you’ll experience along your general visit to the zoo, we have developed numerous exciting and enriching activities available for individual or group participation throughout the year. Whether it’s Breakfast with an otter, a bear or a wolf, an Animal Care Apprentice day or even a week at the one-of-a-kind Ecomuseum Nature Camp, we have something for everyone.
Have a birthday coming up? Why not book a party with the animals? Private party rooms are available at the Ecomuseum zoo along with a general guided tour of the zoo during which time you will have the opportunity to see and touch some live animals. A special birthday your child will not soon forget!

Parents and Tots Story Time
During this fun and educational activity, parents and young children aged three to five will enjoy an interactive story featuring animals native to Quebec. Children will make a unique craft to take home and will even have the opportunity to meet some of our animal ambassadors up close and even touch some of these wonderful creatures. Afterwards, participants are welcome to visit the site by themselves. This activity is included with regular admission and no reservations are necessary. Animal Care Apprentice
Calling all animal lovers! Our zoologists invite you to embark on an interactive learning adventure. We have special activities for all ages: 3 to 6 year olds (half days), 7 to 12 year olds, 12 to 17 year olds and even for adults.
During your Animal Care Apprentice activity, you will: * Prepare meals and feed several animal species. * Participate in a scientific workshop and dissect a raptor pellet (7 years old and up). * Invent and construct toys for the animals. * Learn by touching some species. * Take part in other surprise activities.
This ZOOperb experience is open to the public on targeted dates (check our Calendar of Activities for dates and times), but can also be reserved for your group of 20 or more persons on any day you choose (subject to availability).
Is there a budding zoologist in your family? The Animal Care Apprentice program is a great introduction to the natural world.
Breakfast with the Animals
Discover what the animals eat for breakfast! Will they eat the same things as you?
Breakfast with the otters, bears or wolves are activities offered for children aged 3 and over. Activities start at 8 a.m. before the opening of the zoo and end at 10:30 a.m. but you are welcome to stay the entire day at the Ecomuseum.
Breakfast with the animals will include: * Continental breakfast (for humans!) * A special private presentation by our zoologist on our star animal ambassador. * The opportunity to prepare breakfast for the animal. * The chance to feed the animals who will, by then be anxious to eat! Don’t forget to bring your camera! This fun and interactive activity is available for the public on targeted dates (check our Calendar of Activities for dates and times), but can also be reserved for your group of 20 or more persons on any day you choose (subject to availability).

Eyes in the Dark
Spy on the animals under the stars! HOO! HOO! HOO’s there?
Eyes in the dark will include: * Private outdoor nocturnal guided tour with our zoologist! * Observe the animals while they are the only masters of the zoo! * Nocturnal animals become very active at nightfall! * Special presentations and up close encounters with some nocturnal animals!
This exceptional activity is available for the public (minimum age 7 years old) on targeted dates (check our Calendar of Activities for dates and times), but can also be reserved for your group of 20 persons or more on any day you choose (subject to availability).
Magical Night
Ecomuseum under the stars!
See our animals at night! The entire Ecomuseum Zoo will only be open for the participants from 7 p.m. until the following morning at 9 a.m. Come live an exciting private activity where you will experience unique encounters and discover the different characteristics of nocturnal vs. diurnal animals.
Your Magical Night will include: * Nighttime guided tour as some animals are more active at night! * Special presentations to meet and even touch some of our animals! * Sleepover at the Ecomuseum zoo. * Continental breakfast to start the morning off right. * Morning guided tour as some animals are more active early in the morning! Many surprises should be expected!
This unique and magical activity is available for groups of 20 persons or more only, on any day you choose (subject to availability).
Frog Call Night
Discover our four legged sopranos!!
Every spring, Mother Nature offers us the great opportunity to her some melodic tones in unison. This is the only time of year that you can hear a chorus of male frogs calling the females towards the pond, since spring peppers reproduces in the early spring.
Join us for Frog call Night to enjoy: * Special Frog presentation with our zoologist. * At dusk, discover the frogs hiding in the marsh! * You will be seduced by the frogs’ chorus! * Bring your boots and flash light and start looking for the frogs in the marsh!
